Identifying and supporting public service users in vulnerable circumstances workshop

These workshop materials are designed to assist public service providers in recognising when service users need extra help to access services and to suggest appropriate ways to give support for those needs.

These materials are free to use and aim to help raise awareness, understanding, and support for individuals whose circumstances might lead to them being less able to fully access public services.

The workshop materials consist of:

  • a set of PowerPoint slides
  • a workbook
  • facilitator’s notes

These materials have been designed to help organisations have internal discussions with colleagues but can also be used for self-study and individual reflection. These materials provide a basis for discussion, you do not need to be an experienced trainer to deliver the workshop.

To download this free resource, please complete the access form with your name and email address.

These resources were produced as part of a collaborative project involving Professor Gill (University of Glasgow), Professor Creutzfeldt (University of Kent), the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman and the Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman.
